ROLE: Art Director / UI Designer
I had the distinct pleasure of working on the concept development and design execution for several campaigns, creating award-winning work that helped to establish Western Star as “The Harley of Trucks.”
Instead of shiny new trucks, we showed trucks doing what they were made for. We showed scratched paint and dirty fingernails. We had a little bit of fun, while making Western Star a standout brand in the trucking industry. When CAT started copying us, we knew we were doing something right.

New Product Launches
Our creative team was responsible for all of the marketing efforts for their new utility truck, the 4700. And our efforts were an astounding success, with skyrocketing sales that increased Western Star's market share by 20%. A couple years later when they launched their new on-highway truck, the 5900, a Western Star badge replaced Freightliner in the role of Optimus Prime for Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Unique Calendars
We took the standard paradigm of pristine trucks, juxtaposed against a beautiful landscape, and turned it on its head. For Western Star, we came up with an innovative theme each year. Always focused on the features and benefits to Western Star Trucks. The calendars, like the trucks, sold quickly.
